Robinson is appointed first Commissary and it is very desirable that a gentleman of capacity and one well acquainted with the many objects requiring attention in the Eastern Section of the Province should be associated. With this view I am desirous of ascertaining your wishes for the information of the Government prior to making you an offer of the appointment officially. Should you be disposed to accept the office, I would suggest your immediately proceeding to this place, if you can do so conveniently, when any further explanation you may desire can be given. — Your early reply would oblige. »
