(Saemund, né en Islande vers 1055, 50 ans après l’établissement du christianisme en Islande. Est allé en Allemagne, France, Italie. A eu pour cousin un saint évêque. Est lui-même devenu prêtre. Mort à 77 ans. A écrit une histoire de Norvège et d’Islande. L’Edda a été trouvée en 1643 et lui a été attribuée alors.
