How did you first come to Wikisource ? What drew you in ?[modifier]
Complètement par hasard : je suis bibliothécaire, je lis beaucoup, et en 2010, je me suis offert une liseuse pour mon anniversaire. Je cherchais des textes en ligne à mettre sur ma liseuse — Gutenberg était surtout en anglais… J’ai découvert ce site où on pouvait soi-même contribuer, et j’ai trouvé ça génial…
Au début, j’ai eu du mal à m’habituer aux outils, mais ils se sont rapidement améliorés grâce à des programmeurs amicaux et efficaces… et j’ai adoré pouvoir butiner d’un roman à un livre scientifique, une revue, améliorer la présentation, lire des poèmes jusqu’à plus soif, etc.
At firt, totally by chance… : I’m a librarian, I read a lot, and in 2010, I got a Booken ereader for my birthday… I was looking for texts to download on it — Texts on Gutenberg are mainly in English… I found that marvelous site where I could myself put books online, and I found it was really Great…
At the begining, I found difficult to understand how it worked, but facilitating tools rapidly developped, thanks to efficient and friendly developpers… and I loved being able to work on novels, as well as scientific books, periodicals, poems, presentation, as much as I want to change…
What kind of thing are you doing and have you done in Wikisource ?[modifier]
Au début, j’ai été attirée par le partenariat avec la BNF — puis je suis passée à d’autres livres, des revues… j’aime beaucoup relire des livres, ça me détend…
Ensuite, j’ai commencé à aider les débutants qui se débattaient avec les mêmes difficultés que j’avais au début, et j’ai été poussée à me présenter comme administratrice, et élue, ce qui m’a beaucoup surprise 
— j’essaie d’aider les autres autant que je peux, et je contribue à des travaux très variés, souvent plus ou moins par hasard…
De Wikisource, je me suis mise à contribuer aussi sur Commons et sur Wikidata, pour compléter les informations sur les auteurs.
Depuis quelques temps, j’ai un peu levé le pied, car j’ai les yeux très fatigués, mais je ne désespère pas de pouvoir reprendre plus intensivement…
At first, I was attracted to the BNF partnership program — then I worked on other books, periodicals… I love to reread and correct books, it’s a very good and relaxing activity to me…
Then, I began to help beginners, who had the same difficulties that I had at the beginning, and I was pushed to candidate for sysop, and I was elected, which greatly amazed me Modèle:Lol — I try to help other contributors as much as I can, and I love to work on vary various works, often at random…
From Wikisource, I also had to learn to contribute on Commons (for importing books), then on wikidata, to complete informations on authors…
For a few months recently, my contributions have been fewer, because my job is very tiring for eyes, but I hope to be able to contribute more next year…
What do you think Wikisource’s greatest achievement is so far ?[modifier]
La possibilité de participer à n'importe quel texte qui vous intéresse, du moment qu'il est dans le domaine public… et l'efficacité de la contribution directe et rapide entre les membres pour résoudre les problèmes…
J’adore contribuer au Dictionnaire Trévoux, et le petit groupe de fidèles qui y participe a mis en place (à 8 mains), en 2011 une procédure efficace pour aller plus vite et faciliter la contribution sur ce travail de moine copiste… (d’ailleurs, l’un de nous l’est, moine ) — on ne s’est pas tous rencontrés, mais on a le sentiment de former un groupe amical qui se soutient et s’entraide… c’est très précieux…
The possibility to contribute to any text, as long as it is PD… and the efficiency of direct and rapid contribution between members, to solve problems…
I love to contribute to the Trévoux dictionary, and the very little group of regular contributors on this difficult task has elaborated in 2011 (8-handed), a very efficient proceedings, that allows to work much faster and ease the work on that « monk’s task »… (one of them IS a monk Modèle:Lol — we did not have the chance to all meet IRL, but I have the feeling that we form a group of friends, that help each other whenever possible, even on other works, and it is very precious…
How do you see the future of Wikisource ?[modifier]
J’espère qu’il va faciliter de plus en plus les contributions, qui sont toujours un peu difficiles au début — Wikisource n’est pas Wikipedia, et les outils sont plus délicats… et qu’on va atteindre de plus en plus augmenter les ouvrages du domaine public, dans toutes les langues… ce qui est la plus grande richesse de Wikisource…
Je pense que la possibilité offerte d’exporter rapidement les textes vers une liseuse, un téléphone mobile, sont des plus indiscutables, et devraient être de plus en plus déployés de manière la plus automatisée possible…
I hope it will be more and more easy to contribute, and we’ll draw more and more contributors… Wikisource is not Wikipedia, and the tools we use are more delicate… and I hope Wikisource will raise it’s Public domain library more and more, in all languages… which is the most precious part of Wikisource…
I think that the easy export of texts to ereaders or phones is a great possibility for development, and should be deployed in the most automated way possible…

J’ai trouvé ici une communauté, des amis, et j’y tiens beaucoup… je sais que je peux toujours trouver quelqu’un avec qui tchatter si j’ai besoin d’aide ou d’un peu de soutien… et j’espère apporter longtemps ma petite pierre à cette communauté…

I’ve found here a real community, friends, et I cherish it a lot… I know that I can always find someone to chat with, if I need some help or just care… and I wish I will be able to contribute it for a long time, in my own small way…
