So that on the article of 2 thirds of the revenues paid into their house, they clear at least 10 per cent Besides an Interest of 32 per cent not on any money really paid out of the house, but thus — the rents are due every 10, 20, or 30 days as the custom happens to be. A Zemindar who is to pay his revenues into the Seats house, begs he will admit of a delay. Agreed, but he does not give the Government credit, until it is really paid, with the growing interest, and then only for the Principal.

Another way is he lends money by the year at 3,2 p. et. per month, the bond to be made up every 4 or 6 months with accumulated Interest, and an exhorbitant Batta as if really paid, and a new bond given with this heavy addition.

By the information of the Chief of the Dutch Tanksaul, the Seats coin 50 lacks a year, and clear on the recoinage of old rupees and Arcot into Siccaes 7,8 per cent.
